On the Sunset way

[in the distance]

Is used to say that getting older most people become selfish, maybe this is true for me ...
This evening coming home from the top of the hill where I live I have seen a magnificentl spectacle.
There were all the Alps enlightened from the last light.
The sky was pink and pale blue. The few clouds looked like painted by oil creating streaks in the sky.

The horizon was incredibly clear and in the distance I could see the planes taking off and landing in Milan Malpensa.
A short time ago I used to run home to take my camera with the anxiety to don't miss the shot ... this evening I have remained there alone enjoying the very beautiful moment ...
I have seen, you can only imagine ...

Anna,

Thanks for your kind comments.

Your command of English is excellent! My Italian, on the other hand, is no better than "tourist," at best, and not well practiced at that.

My theory is that most selfish older people were probably selfish young people, too. Age, combined with a little fear, just magnifies their selfishness.
