A beautiful moment of light along the road towards Fataga.
The profile of the mountains has something enchanting for me.
All those roads that run through the mountains open infinite possibilities of discovery in my eyes.

Looking at all these possibilities of escape, discovery and alternative routes in this light inevitably leads me to a connection with the lateral thinking ...

Roscón de los Reyes

"Roscón de los Reyes" is a large ring-shaped cake that is decorated with candied fruits; symbolic of the emeralds and rubies that adorned the Three Kings’ robes. In the middle of the cake sits a gold foil cardboard crown. Hidden within the pastry is a porcelain or plastic figurine of a baby to represent Jesus.

Whoever receives the piece of cake with the baby gets to wear the crown and is declared "King" or "Queen" for the day. It some areas, it also means the person is designated to bring the next year’s "Roscón de los Reyes."
